Hi all

I want to make some brackets to hold plastic gutter onto the new greenhouse. it will be fixed to the underside of the sloping roof bars so I can't use off-the-shelf ones, and was thinking about making them from meccano-like stuff which I can bend to just the right shape/angle - but where do you get that kind of stuff and what's it called? Or does anyone have any ideas for alternatives?

Can you cut some from - say 1" x 6" timber about 10" long?

You could cut the half round template from the end of the gutter, the other end of the piece of wood is nailed/screwed to the wood on the shed.

Then just lay the gutter in the slot, and wire it down to stop it blowing away.

Worked fine for me, but it's the basic idea, if you haven't already finished the job of course!

that's a nifty idea...I haven't done the job yet and have picked up some plastic fascia brackets that I was going to tie to the bars with wire, but if that doesn't work I'll give this idea a go...sounds more robust
