Can anyone tell me if chickens moult at this time of year as my girls are losing lots of feathers?  Have dusted them for mites.  Any ideas?

Hi Alica and welcome to the forum. 

Yes chooks can moult this time of year.   As long as some new quils are following through I wouldnt worry too much.  Some folk give them tuna/extra vitamins to help them through a moult but hey thats up to you!

My Light Sussex is moulting right now.  She's very embarrassed by the loss of her feathers.  Vane creature, she is!
