I have a 2 x 2 metre patch of autumn raspberries that i need to move to put in new polytunnel.

I could leave them to grow inside the tunnel for this season, if it is the wrong time to move them.  The tunnel will give me a lot more inside space than i'm used to, so i could save clearing them until another time if i had to.

What would you do?

I would move them as soon as possible whilst they are still dormant, although i may be wrong

There are a few tiny buds beginning to show at soil level.

When you move them make sure you take as much soil with them as possible so it doesnt disturb them then so they dont notice the change

move them, they'll be fine.

Make sure you get all the roots out. If you leave any odd bits of roots behind they will start growing again in the tunnel ...I speak from experience cos I missed loads when I moved mine

Glad you posted this LivvyW, was about to undertake the same challenge myself tomorrow, only thing is, my plot was a bit frozen this afternoon

They definitely wouldn't like growing in a polytunnel - too hot
