Chicken show

 We went to a chicken show just before Christmas..... there were some lovely birds there, all very expensive   We took Juan the neighbour with us, he wanted to buy a pair of bantams, boy were they tiny birds..... he said he could keep them in a bird cage in the garage............... we told him not to be so silly, they needed a garden not a garage and anyway, Mercedes his sister would kill us if we let him buy hens, especially tiny  bantams

Some of the pairs (breeding pair) were over 250€  I didn´t buy any

Hubbys old flat mate once showed his hens and some eggs at a show on Anglesey..... he got first prize for his eggs.......... he was chuffed.............. then someone (disgruntled maybe?) stole the rosette   Luckily I had taken a photo of the eggs before the robbery!
I would have loved to buy some of the hens we saw at the local shgow here, could you imagin paying 250€ and then the hen died
I wonder if they came with a guarantee?  I stupidly forgot my camera, I tried taking photos with my mobile but they were no good. 
There was even a good show of fancy pigeons.
