hi all does anyone know how i can make my icecrean stay soft , i followed a recipie that had whisked egg whites in it , i made it rum and rasin instead of the recipie strawberry and i have to say it was great but i think the woods rum keept it soft , did tined peaches next but it was crystally and again the strawberry youghurt , in the recipie there was no whisking and gettint it ou the freezer every hour i am on a promise of an ice cream machine .

Get the icecream machine! I've got one and the result is always soft icecream that needs to go in the freezer to properly firm up, so hold out for the machine! Or add more alcohol!
