No experience of chickens or erecting runs but if the term 'eyesore' from the OH is the only consideration to go on, don't worry!

My OH calls most parts of mine ugly but he seems to think it should be a rural idyll - not a working veg production area!

You could put up some pics so we can see for ourselves but your camoflage sounds good. As long as it isn't creating shade for someone else I should think you're ok.

Will put up some pics later this weekend for sure. Aunt sallys run looks perfect for a few chooks. We have seven, about as odd a mixtue of LF and bantams as you can get and is slightly more industrial looking, but once the clematis is covering it...

If the wire panels stand out too much paint them black , it is far less visible . :)
