Am thinking ahead to next Spring (Bring it on) and wondered if someone could suggest a bantam that isn't broody?

Just steer clear of silkies if you don't want broody birds, they're terrible for going broody at the drop of a hat!

Hi
I have a Wyandotte Banty and she went broody for 9 weeks! I also have a leghorn banty (also known as a white star, I think) and so far she hasn't gone broody and lays the most tasty and snow white eggs.  :)
1 Hubby, 2 children, 2 Welsummers, 1 Leghorn Banty, 1 Wyandotte Banty, 1 Barnevelder, 2 Isa Brown, 1 Rhode Island, 1 Goldline,1 Maran, 2 Mottled Leghorns, 1 Leghorn cockerel & 2 Jack Russells

I know!!! Have 3 Silkie x's.  That's why am asking for ones that aren't constantly broody like these 3.  They will be handy to hatch the eggs though

I've got 4 Wyandotte banties - 1 older girl of 5 who has never gone broody and 3 newer girls of 18 months out of which 2 go broody and 1 doesn't.

I got the 3 new girls as I thought Wyandottes weren't a broody breed  ::)

That's how most of us end up.  I can only tell you about my lot if that helps :

Yokohama - lovely looking but don't lay masses of eggs and mine is a broody pants even now at 5 years old
Vorwark - was a good layer for a few years and occasionally went broody
Wyandotte - good layers but as I have said, mixed levels of broodyness

 :)
