I know!!! Have 3 Silkie x's.  That's why am asking for ones that aren't constantly broody like these 3.  They will be handy to hatch the eggs though  :happy:

I've got 4 Wyandotte banties - 1 older girl of 5 who has never gone broody and 3 newer girls of 18 months out of which 2 go broody and 1 doesn't.

I got the 3 new girls as I thought Wyandottes weren't a broody breed   

I have looked at the Omelet chicken guide and want them all and am really confused now  :blink:  :blink:  :blink:

That's how most of us end up.  I can only tell you about my lot if that helps :

Yokohama - lovely looking but don't lay masses of eggs and mine is a broody pants even now at 5 years old
Vorwark - was a good layer for a few years and occasionally went broody
Wyandotte - good layers but as I have said, mixed levels of broodyness
