Cleaning the greenhouse.
« on: December 29, 2010, 21:58 »
I've just aquired an extra half plot. I have purchased an 8 x 6 ali framed greenhouse from the previous plot holder along with two sheds. Tomorrow I intend to give the greenhouse a good scrub as it doesn't look as though its had a clean for years.
Has anyone please got any handy hints or tips for cleaning??

Thanks in advance.

Use Jeyes fluid, scrubbing brush & elbow grease!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I have read that Jeyes fluid is lethal to cats and wildlife. I must read the smallprint.

Have a look at this pet forum:

OK, maybe not elbow grease, a gentle circular motion with the brush, then.

Don't use elbow grease.

It smears on the glass. ;)

We've just done both our greenhouses with the sulphur candles, looked really funny from indoors when you could see the 'smoke' escaping from various holes! Don't think it actually made that much difference last year as we didn't get very good crops from either. Still got loads of spiders in them.

Seeing how its empty, clean it with Jeyes Fluid then rinse it with clean water using a hose pipe  :)
