hi all, can anyone help, is it ok for me to sell spare eggs out side my house, would not be that many but thought i could sell a few to help with feed. do chickens need a jab from vets, someone said they must before i can sell. all these rules and regs go over my head!!!!

farmgate sales are fine, you must either use new boxes or have them on a tray and let the customer pick their own eggs to go in their own boxes. Label the boxes if the hens run with a cockerel that they may be fertile and to use within 21 days.

And no they don't need any jabs before you can sell them from your house, but you can't sell them to anyone who will then sell them on as that is third party selling and its when things get more complicated!
