I popped there today given the amount of thaw we have had and joy of joys I was able to pull up some veg for tea tonight, and a load ready for the next few days. Even the King Edwards that were still in the ground were fine but this year I at least had the foresight to cover them with fleece at the start of the month.

And even more miraculously, I was able to pick salad leaves and rocket (my favourite) from the greenhouse - I had all but given up hope on them!

Lucky you. I can;t wait to properly get back to the allotment. I've been over a few times in the last month but it's covered in snow at the moment. Roll on Spring!

Seriously, it must have felt good to be able to go and get a harvest, cant wait till mine thaws

No Chance of any allotment work up here in Cheshire, its still minus 5 during the day and minus 12 at night time.
