New Coop
« on: December 21, 2010, 13:24 »
I have just got a new coop for my girls, and have just spent a few hours moving thigs around the garden and putting it in place.  It is a specific hutch for my 5 chickens who need it, and they are looking around it and checking it out.  Will I need to do anything to get them to accept it, or just put down fresh bedding and leave them to it?  At teh moment I have two of them in one nesting box, mucking around and kicking the bedding around.
Thanks for your help  :)

they should be ok but just keep an eye on them tonight to make sure they know this is their new home  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

they seem fine at the moment, just sleping in their nest boxes.  Should I take them out and make them roost do you think or are they ok in there?  But they seem happy  :D

I would pop them onto the perch as they can get infections if any of their poop gets into their eyes  :(
