Left over Onions & Garlic

We have recently planted out some red & white onions and 2 different garlic but have half of everything left over. as we don't need to plant loads for us.

My question is how long will these keep for or do I need to either plant them or give them away.

They won't keep long, you either plant them, give them, or throw them, away
