damage to onions

something has eaten the tops off most of my onions :shock: ,going to plot on saturday to get them pulled as they are almost out of ground anyway ,any ideas as to who  eats onion stalks :?:

could be,hubby saw one in ajoining plot a couple of weeks back,and although we have chicken wire around i know rabbits can get anywhere :roll: didnt know they liked onion though
