I also grew Christmas pots after I saw them for sale in my local garden centre (had never heard of them before).  I stuck them in the ground in Aug and by Oct they were pretty ready to dig up.  I realise now of course I could have left them longer but as they were in the ground was worried about pests.  Probably nothing to worry about.  In fact I have more of a problem trying to keep my (cute but naughty) cat off my veg patch than anything else!

I'd keep the soil ever so slightly damp..........you don't want them rotting, but on the other hand you don't want them to start shrivelling

I was in Mansfield yesterday.  I wasn't furtling though, honest officer!  :wacko:

Thanks Mum will just spray some water now and then.

I got very excited seeing my potsas I honestly thought there would be nothing there ................... can you tell this is my first year growing veg  ::) ::)

Nice result. Yes stop watering now and keep them in a dry place. I like it whens things go well for people.

Thought I should update this post as all was not what it seemed.

The potatoes were no bigger than pebble or marble size very disappointing  :( :(

The photo below shows all the potatoes we had from 2 bags with 4 each of Carlingford and Maris Peer. Not even enough for dinner for 4 of us.
