Security Lights

Just wondered if anyone had experience with effectiveness of PIR activated halogen security lights to deter Mr Fox? Also seen those Anti-Cat ultra-sonic PIR activated devices, wondered if they did any good. I have a 12 bore but the neighbours might get upset if I blaze away in the back garden next time I see Charlie...

I use a FoxWatch (similar to the cat ones but emits a different frequency attuned to foxes ears).
