No Broody poops today!!!!!
« on: November 09, 2010, 20:57 »
What a relief!! 2.5 piles of normal poops in the house this morning and they were all roosting.  Maybe we have turned the corner and they have realised that they aint sitting on eggs? The last one to go broody didnt even do a smelly broody poop this morning but she is still doing the huffy puffy thing!!! Yaaahay might even get eggs again one day.  Gracie curtsied yesterday went I stroked her.  Things might be on the up but you never know with chickens do you?  Bless them.

they dont have to be broody to do poops like that. some days there are very few poops in the coop, they come out and do huge ones. i queried this, and was told it was normal at times.

Orchard Lady reckons it's a good sign if your chick is broody and you want them to sit.  Mine didnt do it before they went like that and now they seem to be back to normal.  It did help with keeping the house clean tho  :D

My Silkie hen has gone Broody for the first time, its been about 3 days How long does this normally Last for ?? She is sitting in un fertilised eggs, do you think I should put some fertilised under her, as I have her in the Summer house and also have the heat lamps?
She also hasnt moved, I have to keep putting food infront of her, which shes not really eating .. Is that normal?

Thanks Vicky
