I read that roasted pumpkin seeds make a good snack. Perhaps they do,  there weren't many left to taste after they'd exploded in the oven! Those that remained kept OH amused for hours as he picked the bits out from his teeth! :nowink:

Pumpkin seeds are about all that pumpkins are good for. I pick them out, pull off any webby orange stuff, rinse them, spread them on a baking sheet, sprinkle lightly with salt, then toast in a slow oven for about 20 minutes or so until they're fairly dry. turn off the oven and let them finish. Pumpkin seeds, aka pepitos, are very tasty.
