Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Havent read the full thread as yet, but have had exactly the same problem with my raised bed in my garden and it has seriously driven me to distraction. I have two dogs who are always wandering in and out of the garden, and have tried the orange/lemon/pepper/chilli/rubber spiky fence deterrents etc and nothing worked.  I resowed my bed three times because they have dug up and/or left 'presents' for me to stick my hand in when I was weeding between the parsnips.

The only thing that has worked is to green net with tubing - and I mean SECURELY. Twice the blighter has crawled under the small gaps in the netting and ....well....you know.

I love animals, but this, coupled with taking a couple of goldfish, has driven me nuts. Ive certainly gone off cats this year. (wont last Im sure!)

This whole business of some cats being problematic in their habits is age old. I reckon it’s up to us humans to use our higher intellectual powers to out think them and sit back knowing we have solved the problem through trial and experiment and ingenuity.

No more catalogue of woe or catastrophic calamities.   ;)
