Potato question
« on: October 26, 2010, 11:46 »
Jules has a question about his potatoes that he's growing in big black bins.

Yesterday the green tops, sticking out the bin had wilted over.  They've been growing away quite healthily, we've only had a few mornings ground frost which clears by about 8.   Any suggestions appreciated :D
May this day be blessed with gifts, understanding and friends.  Merlin 2001-2012 Pandora 2001-2013 xxx

If they have been outside unprotected from frost then I would say that the frost has caught them and they will no longer grow.

Think he was hoping it was something else because it only happened in one bucket:(

No sorry, he's just said it's both, he'll dig them up tomorrow :)
