most of mine are moulting so the egg supply has gone down from 15 a day to just 4 if I am lucky, but I don't mind them having a little break and I also prefer not to give them meat.

I thought my Light Sussex had been fighting with the other hens the other day as there were a lot of white feathers all over the garden where they free range.
However there were no feathers from any of the other girls or my boy & the cat is scared stiff of them so it had nothing to do with her.
I checked her over and she seemed fine and is acting normally so i figured she must be moulting.

Mine dont seem to like peas for some reason.  Tried them a few times and ended picking nearly every 1 back up - a tedious process.  They love sweet corn and the dog has decided she does too.  Have got to give her some first so that war doesnt break out.
