if you put some around each plant a losehandfull in a ring this wil be washed in by the rain you can also put some on the land afore you dig or rotavate .1 oz sq yard

The late and to me the great Geoff Hamilton said crop rotation on allotments and gardens is less important than it was on farms of long ago.He makes the point and I agree that most soil pests can travel the few yards involved.It,he said is more important to sow the right plant in the right soil conditions,and its not always possible on a small plot to do a 3 or 5 year rotation. Food for thought.

Gay Search together with Geoff also states this in their book The Complete First Time Gardener.On page 311. Geoff also states that it matters not if you have just manured as long as its well rotted you can just go ahead and plant whatever you like,more or less.Quoted in his book Gardiners World Practical Gardening Course.Again food for thought. :?
