Chooks and chillies

Does anybody know if chickens are OK to eat chillies?  Think hubby is after a hot egg! 

I always think of eating chillies as the culianary equivalnt of bungie jumping You may well find that they won't touch them when offered. When I've offered roast red pepper or raw red pepper (all part of the same family as chillies) they turn their beaks up at it.

I've just had a serious brush with a red hot chilli and believe me it was very distressing. I don't see the need to give chillies to hens as there's plenty other veg they can eat which they like
