I woke up to white fields today - and it wasn't just a little bit either: there was ice on top of the horse's water bucket, and it took 5 minutes to melt the ice on the car windscreen.

My Little Gems and Tom Thumbs were frozen solid in their raised bed (although they don't seem to have suffered any ill effects).

Yes, there was a taste in the air as I finished on the plot around about sundown.  Frost is predicted for Scottish glens.

I'm quite looking forward to some heavy frosts, I can't wait to dig some sweet frosted parsnips!!!
