turkey poult sneezing

hi one of my turkey poults has started to sneeze still eating and seems ok in its self but should i be worrying about it sneezing the others seem fine. it is only 3 weeks old and its the only one i hatched so dont want anything to happen to it.

If it is just the odd sneeze then he/she could have dust in her nostrils but any more than the odd one I would seek antibiotics.
Ideally he/she should be seperated from the others and perhaps a course of something like baytril should be started. It could have the start of a respiritory infection and it isn't worth taking the risk of passing this onto the other two.

i have just been watching them all for half hour and they have all sneezed a couple of times but not as much as the first one. one of my big ones seems to have a swelling under its eye and a little bit of a watery discharge from that eye. think i need to ring the vet.

yes it sounds like it could be the start of mycoplasma or similar. Get an anti biotic as soon as possible and treat all three, as they have all come down with it then you can keep them all together. Fingers crossed that in a week to ten days they should be OK. However if it is myco they will never be cured so any stressful time can make it re-emerge.

been to the vets, she said their breathing and heart rate seems fine and gave me some antibiotics for them, i didnt expect to have to give them tablets though i thought it would be somthing i put in the water or feed etc
