Hi all,

Who does everyone recommend for buying their seeds and fruit canes?

There's so many on google, I'm 'boggled'  ???

D T Brown and Seeds of Italy.

Fruit from where ever the offers are
the likes of Aldi, Lydl and Wilko have good prices for soft fruit at times during the year. Someone usually shouts on here when the offers are on ;)

We've very recently been through the seed question, so to save a lot of repeats, here it is:

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

with regards fruit - my fruit trees (apple, cherry, pear & plum) on semi-dwarf root stock came from B&Q (8 years ago used to be £9.99 and round about Easter time, also had 25% off) and they've been perfectly fine.  I bought strawberry plants, fruit bushes and canes from my local garden centre and are very reasonably priced with a good selection for local conditions, and the added bonus is that I can actually see the plants for health and signs of buds/shape etc and decide/select the best ones for myself.  The disadvantage is that I've also walked out with more than original planned
