Morning all, am hoping to get 2/3 silkies this wkend fom an charity poultry auction, to be safe i have a seperate house for them to go into but how far away from my main flock should it be? and how long untill it would be safe to put them in view/next to each other, (seperated by wire fence), untill i start to intergrate them into main flock.

I would keep them well apart so there can't be any physical contact between them for a minimum of 3 weeks. If you can, keep them a few metres away from each other. You really don't want to risk the possibility of transferring mite, lice or respiritory problems.
