Fruit Trees

Hi Nipper,

I bought a Czar Plum tree in May from J Parkers, which although it hasn't fruited yet, I'm very pleased with its progress.  It came basically as a glorified 'twig' bare root 2nd year tree, but has really taken off in the few months it has been planted.  It is worth looking around, reading reviews, etc before buying - and of course checking with your allotment neighbours as to what grows well!  I was toying with the idea of getting an apricot tree - but learned that several of my (much more experienced) neighbours didn't have much luck with them, so now I'm content to get them from the farm shop!
