Good grief I still have stuff growing over half the plot and the other side is the fruit trees. Winter digging looks like about February at the moment.

Hang on - it's only 7 days into September. It's nowhere near winter yet.  :tongue2:

First it was autumn in summer............now it's winter in September.
Time goes quickly enough without speeding things up

Don't bother digging. Just pile the muck on top and let the worms do their work.

Unless of course you actually enjoy digging

I dug today and quite enjoyed it.  Love the colour of the freshly dug stuff, seems full of promise and exciting things to come.

I actually do like digging, but no way would I start winter digging in September, weeds have time to get a hold again before winter.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Gotta say that those on our site who left their muck on the top for the worms to pull in over the winter still had the same muck on the top in the spring. Possibly something to do with the ground being frozen solid for half of the winter ::)....I'm gonna dig the hell out of mine and enjoy every spadeful :tongue2:
