Hi this is broody, I have noticed that some of my girls earlobes have changed colour. They have gone from red to white! Have recently dusted my girls and they seem as perky as ever, but could anyone help me figure out whats going on!

How old are they ?. When chickens get older the ear lobes does change from red to white.
Some of my girls are 3 years old and they have developed white ear lobes it is nothing to worry about just old age.

Thanks for the reply, my girls are under a year. I've had them since May. I was just a bit worried that they may have some infection. They seem fine other than the change of colour. Will keep a close eye on them, but thanks

I thought that generally the earlobes reflect the colour of the eggshell. I have two youngsters 6 months old and one has started laying lovely olive green eggs. Her earlobes are white with a green tint on them. As she became older, her earlobes became more prominent. Your chickens sound the same age and its just them developing into "laydees".
I wouldnt worry if I were you.
