Runner bean recomendation
« on: September 05, 2010, 18:10 »
Im looking for a recommendation for next years runners. it needs to be as resistant to going tough as possible because i keep forgetting to pick them and they get too big.

What do other people grow?

It's looking like "Moonlight" may be one of the front runners for next year.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I think White Lady is the best runner bean you can grow

It is light green and very tender and tasty

It also has a white flower ( hence the name )  so I always grow
a couple of sweetpeas in row
You may be only one person in the world,  but you may also be the world to one person.

I second white lady. Best runner beans I have ever grown - tasty and do not get tough.

First time for me growing White Lady and will definately grow them again next year. A very heavy cropper of tender, tasty beans. Seems like they a long cropping period as there's still no sign of them slowing down.
