I have been making a nice comfrey fertilizer and wondered if the part of the plant used had an effect on the quality of the fertilizer produced.

Should I be using the leaves, the stems or does it matter, can I use both.

Suggest water + comfrey leaves and stalks in an old plastic dustbin, prefereably with lid to keep the rain out. Worth having a small area devoted to comfrey as its perennial.
