it looks like you have all hens, the quickest way to tell for your self is: how red is their face, and the size of their wattles. cockrels develop faster than hens, and from around 3-4 weeks old should have red faces and should show signs of developing wattles, hen at this age should have pale faces and very little to no wattles at all, so looking at the pictures, they all have pale faces and no wattles yet so i think your in the clear  :D

sorry to disappoint you but some chickens cannot be sexed this way and youmay have to wait a little longer to find out for sure.
Staffies are softer than you think.

That's why I didn't reply.  We got rid of all the 12 week old Light Sussex and RIR's apart from the 2 I wanted to keep.  Then sold the ones that all looked like pullets.  3 weeks later a lady rang who had bought 2 and she said 'Pearl' will now be known as Luke!

I'm sure its a girl though.  Didn't look anything like a young lad!!! :D

M y broody only hatched one chick who we are very proud of but also still don't know if we have a hen or coq.  My only problem is that we already have a coq, so don't want to be faced with the problem of them fighting if my chick turns out to be male.  However, I did read somewhere that coqs develop their comb earlier and my chick has a quite pronounced comb at four weeks old.  Last week I then bought four marran cuckoo chicks at seven weeks old and their combs are a lot less pronounced (they are all hens).  This might be down to the difference in the breeds but I was just wondering if combs could give an indicator of sex?
