suckers are growing from the roots

of a recently felled cherry tree - most are quite a way from the stump

Am i best to just keep digging/pulling them up as soon as they appear or is it best to glyphosate them first, and pull when completely dead.

I would start by using a stump killer, then glyphosate on the suckers if they were still a problem.
