Bantam question
« on: August 19, 2010, 18:37 »
Just collected son from the farm and he's brought back a naughty bantam who keeps escaping and laying at the back of the hay stack, simple to get into if your a bantam, impossible if you human >:(

She can go in with my 5 girls or would I be better putting her in with the Sablepoots, they're about 11 weeks now?

May this day be blessed with gifts, understanding and friends.  Merlin 2001-2012 Pandora 2001-2013 xxx

What breed of bantam is she? Sablepoots are a true bantam (have no large fowl the same) and are really small - is the new bantam much bigger?
Staffies are softer than you think.

Evening Joyful, I was hoping you'd be around, I've forgotten what she is and Ali had to go to rugby :( she's much bigger than the Sablepoots and not much different in size to my Ambers I know you said your bigger girls picked onyour poots

I would gradually introduce her to the big girls then however it is never a good idea to introduce just one (she will have to bear the brunt of all the bullying on her own  :() so you may have a few problems.

Thanks Joyfull, Thought I might have to do that ::)

On a different note the Sablepoots are doing really well and it's not just us that love watching their antics our big girls do too  in fact Ali wants to get another 5  but we have to wait a bit, a bird of prey has been at the farm and helped itself to one of the adult Sablepoot hens and all the others are spoken for

Jules (OH) even though he's off work gets up at 7am to feed and water them :nowink:
