Damsons

2 damson trees, 1 with probably 3kgs fruit the other 1 lonely fruit and although they're dark purple they're rock hard; is this normal?

2 plum trees, 1 with so much fruit some of the branches are touching the ground and we've been picking 2-3kg almost every day plus snacking on them as we pass :D, the other not a single one :(

2 apple trees, both groaning under the weight of so much fruit and still a bit tart, perfect for apple crumble, yum :D

2 pear trees, not worth talking about >:(

How is everyone else fairing?

We also have loads of saplings growing from (happens every year) from last years fallen fruit, would these grow into fruiting trees?

May this day be blessed with gifts, understanding and friends.  Merlin 2001-2012 Pandora 2001-2013 xxx

4 damson trees loaded with fruit but nowhere near ready yet. If I remember rightly it was late September before they were really ripe last year. So if yours are hard that seems about right.

Nowhere to put fruit trees, but OH bought me an apple tree for Valentine's day which is in a pot. It has three beautiful green full size apples on it. Just as pleased as anyone. :)

Hi Tosca, I'm jealous the one thing I would love is an apple tree. Hoping to do a trade with the old chap up the road - pot or two of my preserves for a pick of his apple tree :)
