help with onions

because my plot wasnt ready very early i got some plants from the garden centre

the garden centre where just selling the onions and onion planrts so im not sure what they are.

i cant see any sign of a bulb growing and was wondering if anyone knows if there was something i could do to help them along?  i was wondering if i could po planted them to deep

I'm not sure what you have bought sorry - I'm only a newbie myself.

My only experience of growing onions has been using onion sets, which look like minature onions. You pop them in the ground and they carry on growing.

Hopefully someone more knowledgable will be along shortly.

They should be going by now I would have thought, how long have they been in ? and how deep have you planted them ? usually you plant up to the neck of the onion bulb.
