Got a large pot of mixed veg chutney on the stove and just love the smell of it bubbling away

I've got everything together except the vinegar ...........I must remember to buy it tomorrow

I did a tomato and apple chutney yesterday and it worked wonders on my cold, especially caramalising the sugar and vinegar at the start!  I suspect the house may have a slight vinegar aroma still today but I wouldn't know!

At this rate I am going to need a bigger cupboard Made onion chutney, piccallili, this new chutney, marmalade and marmalade with calvados, so far this year. haven't started on jam yet

I remember being at school (and that was a long time ago) when it was chutney time the whole school smelt.  It was the only time that no one asked to have a taste of what you had made in HE that day!
