What to do with Wood shavings (pine)

We get 'free' huge bags of wood shavings from the local woodyard, and it works well in all the chicken, duck, & bantam houses. However, when we change it, we get wheelbarrows loads.....and apart from trying to burn it, coz it doesn't compost well, ANY CLUES

It has 'pooh' in it, but not so much.

Put it in a large sack and grow mushrooms. Can't remember which type but if you're interested, I can dig out the article for you.

put them in a pile out of the way some where and leave for a year then use on your garden i would

your luckly to have so much bgb

Mix it up with loads of green veg and it will compost. Mine is mixed in with straw as well as chick poo. I just give it a good soaking and it seems to rot fine.
