You've noticed then, Dave?
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

As you will have presumably seen from the chart, carrots are (more than) borderline now, but nothing is set in stone as you never know what the weather has in store for the next few months.

If you want carrots, go for it! (But don't expect monsters!)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

Just a thought Dave, but why not put the Sowing chart as a sticky at the top of the Grow Your Own forum  :)
It might make it easier to find for some people.
Cheers, Comfortably Numb.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long ..........................

It's is a sticky, within the GYO sticky forum. Problem is we can't sticky every thing here, as the stickies themselves run into 2 pages of help. You wouldn't see any new posts when you opened up the forum.

There is a sticky on this forum directing people to that forum as a first port of call, but there's  a limit to how many directions you can give!

I got some cut and grow again lettuce seeds - the instructions say that you can sow up until the end of August and are ready in 3 weeks - I figured it was worth a go. Hope these are better the the weak limp things I planted a while back (can't remember what variety they were but they really are pathetic!)

I planted them in containers - half mixed lettuce and the other half scattered with various herbs.
I might be talking rubbish!

What you might call a sticky problem then  :) ;)
