Boiling or Steaming

Started to freeze my surplus Veg.
In the blanching process.
can you steam your veg instead of boiling them, if you can how much longer should you allow.
The reason i ask, steaming keeps a lot more of the flavour and the goodness in the veg.  :)

I understood that a lot of the reason blanching (by its name) is done so quickly is so that it doesn't remove all the goodness.

I've never read of steaming being used.  A quick scald to kill all bacteria is all that is required.  I think you'd run the risk of cooking them properly if steaming.

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
