Pinching out cues
« on: July 24, 2010, 11:35 »
It said somewhere about pinching cues out after 7 leaves
That'd make mine about 18" tall with about 3 fruit on each!! At the moment they are about 4' tall and still going strong. I have 4-5 good size cues on each plant with others forming well. Should i pinch out the tip now and let the plant focus on growing those smaller cues? Thanks for any advice (soory don't know the variety, freebies from a customer of mine)

Heck, my greenhouse cue is 5ft tall on the cane and 4ft across a string spanning the little greenhouse. It is one with small cues on though, but we have had loads off it already. Should I pich the end out? I was going to leave it till the middle of August unless it ran out of steam before then.

I let mine do as it wishes, I'm trying to get it to grow........I don't want to pinch it out and frighten it  It usually grows up the end and then along a cane hanging from the ridge........1 year it made it as far as the door at the other end

Same here, I find it easy enough to kill them without pulling their bits off.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
