I grew some purple teepee beans this tear because purple pods sounded fun. It turns out they have gorgeous bright mauve flowers as well- why doesn't itsay that in the seed catalogues? No pods yet, but I can recommend the plants just for the pretty flowers!

We're growing Declic again this year. Pods are green AND purple! Taste is really good, they're very prolific and goon for ages.

Got the Declics from D T Brown (see http://www.dtbrownseeds.co.uk/acatalog/138_french_beans.html) oddly in the pic they don't look at all purple but ours come up green with purple streaks. Try them next year!

I've got Purple Teepee Dwarf french beans - they have nice purple flowers and purplish leaves too.  Very pretty!  I've also got purple caulis, sprouts, carrots, swedes, kohlrabi, basil, turnips and artichokes

I want to try purple tomatoes and sweetcorn next year

I'm trying them. I always grow some purple beans, both dwarf & runners. These appealed as the beans  grow above the foliage, making them easier to find & harvest!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
