why my runner beans have produced  lots of flowers but no beans? (they have been flowering a long time but the flowers just dropping off, lots of insects around here)

when do autumn raspberries flower?

and..

When should broccolli and cabbage be harvested roughly?  (i was given lots but type not known)

Always happens with the first ones. Patience usually cures it!

Mine, (Autumn Bliss) are in bud now.


When should broccolli and cabbage be harvested roughly?  (i was given lots but type not known)


Can't say without knowing the variety. There is early and late broccoli and with careful planning you an have cabbage of different varieties all year round.

Hi -
Sometimes misting the plants over with water early morning/ evening can help runner beans to set.

Have they got plenty of water at the roots.  Mulching deeply round the plants can help with this

Misting runner flowers is a myth, save your water and use it at the roots.
