I located a nursery at Liss, Hants, which I believe is near Petersfield so not too far.  Have gone for the Oullins but on the pixy root because the adult tree is supposed to grow only to a height of 3 metres.  Thank you for your help.

Scott's of Merriott has closed down following the early death of its manager.  Sad.  It was a very long established company with a huge stock of fruit trees which were sold at auction.

Oh, what a shame, I didn't know that. I bought a lot from there when we first moved in and renovated the garden. I bought apple and pear trees, hazelnuts, climbers and perennials, as well as the gage. All of them have been fabulous. They had the best catalogue of trees and plants I've ever seen, and at very reasonable prices.

I get all my fruit trees from Ken Muir - never been let down yet. very informative webpages and helpful staff - I use mail order and no probs at all - not sure if they have direct sales.
