pea problem

can anyone help, my peas have grown quite well, have lots of fat pods, but most of them have been empty, where have i gone wrong. :(

on the packet it says they are 'early onwards', i had a few pods with peas in, we had them for dinner today, and they were very nice. just can't understand why most of the pods are pea-less.

Did you keep them watered during the dry spell?
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

they have been watered every day and fed frequently.

Ah.

Feeding may be the problem. Peas don't need it. Thay may have caused the plant to put energy into leaf & pod, but not the pea.
