Maris Bard for me,not sure what is classed as a good yield,but they are producing 17-20 good size spuds from each haulm,with many smaller spuds as well,the taste is sublime.

maris bard seem reliable and fine taste and tend to come few weeks before next favorite- charlotte.

I like Charlotte as well, but as they are second earlies, I've not got around to them yet. Finished the Ulster Chieftan, wading through the Arran Pilot, yet to attack the Pentland Javelin - then the Charlotte. (Have I planted too many?)

Ratte for taste - available in the UK as well. Good waxy potato not disimilar to pink fir apple.

were eating rocket at the mo ,plenty pots off them taste ok got desiree for maincrop.

planted nicola ,maxine and vivaldi last wkend{cheap in asale}not sure if they grow but nothing ventured nothing gained

The arronpilot were nice and waxy but I did like the rocket as they are a little less dense and make nice spiced potatoes!Potatoes seemto stay whole with gentle boiling this year,is this because of the amount of rain we`ve had?

I noticed that too Annie. Lat year mine were terrible, kept breaking up, even if I only steamed them, but not this year. they are lovely!!!!
