Using wood which has had woodworm

Hi i'm making my own chicken house and run for my hen when I get them this week, I am using the wood which was taken from my old roof. it has lots of wood-worm holes but don't think it's active anymore, does anybody know what is the best way to treat the wood and for not rotting and of course safe for my hens when they arrive. Anything that is bat safe! I use Cuprinol.
