Container carrots and tomatoes - watering?
« on: July 06, 2010, 20:08 »
Hello

Should I be watering my container carrots from the top or the bottom?

I bought a Totem tomato plant which is already a 1.5 feet high, should I be watering this from the top or bottom and should I be pinching out the leaves? There is some fruit on there although it is yet to ripen.

Thanks!

Totem is a bush tomato, so leave its leaves alone (!)

As a general rule, wetting the leaves of plants should be avoided as it doesn't do any good and may encourage fungal diseases.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!
