Having had some success this year (year 2 of my plot) with fruit - raspberries, redcurrants, gooseberry etc - but had an abysmal failure with cabbages and peas, I am going to give more of my plot to fruit I think. It also fulfils my wife's suggestion that we should grow stuff that is expensive to buy.

I was wondering if anyone knew of fruit trees/bushes etc that could be planted now for next year?

You might find some in containers that you can buy expensively in garden centres.  However it is better to wait until the autumn.
