I didnt realise sweet millions were a cordon variety of tomato and so havent been picking out side shoots.  I now have a number of really healthy tall plants with plenty of trusses but also a whole lot of green growth!  Is it worth trying to pick side shoots out now?  I'd rather leave it, but not if it wil significantly affect the fruit?

You can remove a lot of leaves without adversely affecting the tomatoes, it is a good idea to let more light into the plant and improve air circulation.
If there are plenty of trusses of fruit prune away.
Large tomato plants are tough and will put up with a lot of thinning.
